Repurposed Silver Teapot and Decoupaged Ephemera Tray – “Tea for Two” 4-Piece Set

A one-of-a-kind, upcycled tea set that blends vintage charm with shabby chic artistry. This four-piece ornamental collection includes a silver-plated teapot, matching tray, and two crystal-style glass teacups—each element reimagined with creative detail and French-inspired flair.

The silver teapot stands 12" tall and 9" wide, adorned with a vintage doily wrap, pearl and silver chain accents, and a handmade embroidered muslin tea bag labeled “Teatime,” lightly scented with peach fragrance. The hinged lid features an upside-down glass saltshaker as the knob, topped with an authentic vintage button for added height and character. Glass teardrops and delicate embellishments complete the look, giving the piece a romantic, timeworn elegance.

Each side of the teapot tells its own story:

Side One: Features the “Teatime” muslin tag and a matching embroidered tab reading, “Come, let us have some tea and talk about happy things.”
Side Two: Showcases a vintage silver spoon tied with aged lace, repurposed diamond trim from an old shoe, and pearlized appliqués from a wedding gown. A teardrop crystal dangles from the spout, simulating the gentle flow of tea.
The accompanying silver-plated tray measures 15" long by 11" wide and rests on raised legs for an elevated presentation. It has been chalk-painted, lightly distressed, and decoupaged with authentic vintage ephemera—advertisements and illustrations from a 1969 Workbasket craft magazine. Two charming inscriptions decorate the tray:

“Let’s have a party, beginning at three.
You choose the teacups; I’ll pour the tea.
You pick the pastries, sweet as can be.
I’ll toast the friendship between you and me.”
